Deontay Leshun Wilder was born on the 22nd of October in the year 1985. He is a professional fighter from America. Since 2015, he has successfully held the WBC heavyweight title. After a long period, he became the first American heavyweight champion in history. As for quite some time, there was no American who won the title.
Wilder started very late, taking up the game at 20 years old. As a beginner, at the 2008 Olympics, he was the winner of the bronze medal in the category of heavyweight. After this, he was being called as “The Bronze Bomber”. And Wilder dedicated to Joe Louis, who was called as “The Brown Bomber”.

Beginning of the Career
It was in October 2005 When Wilder went to the Skyy Boxing gym, in Northport, Alabama, his career took off. He then started to train under Jay Deas. Wilder’s age was just 20 around then.
He won against the top picks who were touted to win both the US titles and National Golden Gloves at 201 lb (91 kg).
At the Golden Gloves, he beat the favorite Isiah Thomas, who was the world champion. He was a southpaw from the city of Detroit, and also David Thompson, from Brooklyn, in the finals. He won against Quantis Graves at the U.S. championship and was the winner of the final against the southpaw James Zimmerman from San Jose in California.
